Murielle Popa-Fabre
Murielle Popa-Fabre is an international expert in the governance of generative artificial intelligence, operating at the intersection of advanced technologies, public policy and fundamental rights. She works with international institutions such as the Council of Europe on issues relating to freedom of expression and AI regulation, as well as with the United Nations on the development, assessment and deployment of trustworthy AI solutions.
She holds a doctorate in cognitive neuroscience and has an outstanding scientific background, with research in language neuroimaging conducted at the Collège de France, INRIA and Cornell University. This training provides her with a deep understanding of language models, machine learning and their societal implications.
She now advises public and private organisations, particularly in the media and legal sectors, on governance strategies, evaluation frameworks and the responsible use of generative AI.
